The Sauna
WELCOME TO WARREN MILL
Built from premium Nordic Spruce and designed with large glass panels at the front and back, the sauna blends beautifully into its surroundings — allowing you to gaze out over the water and into the peaceful countryside. You may even spot some of our farm animals or local wildlife as you relax.
The sauna seats up to six people and is powered by a traditional woodburning stove topped with hot stones — ideal for creating restorative steam with a simple splash of water. We'll keep it stocked with logs for you, so all you need to do is show up and relax.

The Experience
In the sauna area, you'll find:

2 cold plunge baths: one repurposed whisky barrel and one galvanised steel tub — perfect for contrast therapy. Please note there is no electricity, just cold water. But you can add ice to make it even colder the traditional, natural way.

2 private changing huts, made from rustic timber

2 gas-powered outdoor showers

2 composting eco-toilets
The site is intentionally off-grid and surrounded by nature for a truly immersive retreat experience. The nearest car park is a 4-minute walk away.
what to bring
We do not provide towels, robes, or footwear — so please bring whatever you need to feel warm and comfortable before and after your sauna session. Please ensure to bring 2 towels, as you will need one to sit on in the sauna.

What is Contrast Therapy?
Contrast therapy is the practice of alternating between hot and cold treatments (like a sauna followed by a cold plunge).
It's been shown to:

- Stimulate circulation and lymphatic flow
- Enhance mood and mental resilience
Terms & Conditions
To ensure the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all guests, please read the following terms before using our lakeside woodfired sauna:
General use

The sauna is open to the public from 08:00 – 19:00 daily.

Glamping guests may use the sauna free of charge from 19:00 – 08:00, outside of public hours.

During public hours, use is by pre-booked time slots only via our website.

Outside public hours, guests are responsible for heating and maintaining the sauna themselves.

The sauna is a 4-minute walk from the car park in an off-grid area. The ground can be uneven in places so please be careful when walking.
Health & safety
Sauna use is at your own risk. Consult your GP before use if you are pregnant, have cardiovascular issues, or any other medical condition.
Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Do not use the sauna if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Ensure you are well-hydrated before and after use.
Please shower before entering the sauna.
Limit sauna use to 15–20 minutes per session, with cooling breaks in between.

Always sit on a towel and wear appropriate swimwear.
Do not pour excessive water on the stove — this can damage the sauna.
Respect other users: keep noise to a minimum and maintain a peaceful environment.
No glass containers, food, or alcohol allowed in or near the sauna area.

Guests must ensure the fire is fully extinguished after use.
The sauna will be left stocked with kindling and logs; please use these responsibly.
Report any maintenance issues to staff the next morning.

Public sauna bookings are non-refundable within 24 hours of your reserved time.

We reserve the right to close the sauna at any time for safety or maintenance.

Any damage to the sauna or misuse may result in a fine or ban from further use.
